GoPro has officially introduced the GoPro Max2 360, its long-awaited successor to the original Max 360 camera, along with two new products – the compact Lit Hero action camera and the Fluid Pro AI gimbal. The new lineup marks GoPro’s biggest hardware refresh in years, bringing advanced video quality, AI-powered tools, and enhanced usability for creators.
The headline feature of the GoPro Max2 360 is its ability to record 8K 360° videos at 30fps using a 1/2.3-inch sensor. The camera also supports 10-bit color recording with GP-Log, ensuring greater flexibility for post-production workflows. On the photography side, it can capture 29MP 360° stills with sharp detail.
To deliver smooth and immersive footage, GoPro has added Max HyperSmooth stabilization with 360 Horizon Lock, ensuring perfectly level shots even during extreme movements. A major upgrade comes in the form of replaceable lenses – users can now swap out a cracked lens without any tools, making repairs quicker and more affordable.
The Max2 360 is equipped with six built-in microphones for immersive spatial audio and supports Bluetooth audio devices. Mounting options include the standard ¼-20 tripod thread, folding fingers found on recent GoPros, and a new Magnetic Latch system first introduced on the GoPro Hero 13 Black.
Weighing just 195g, the Max2 360 is waterproof up to 5 meters, making it adventure-ready. It also features built-in GPS, AI-based object tracking, MotionFrame editing, and cloud-powered workflows via the GoPro Quik app, bringing advanced creative tools directly into the hands of users.
Alongside the flagship 360 camera, GoPro unveiled the Lit Hero, a compact action camera priced at $269.99. It features a built-in light with three brightness levels, designed for creators who need portable shooting in low-light conditions.
The third product, the Fluid Pro AI gimbal priced at $229.99, offers 3-axis stabilization, forward and rear-facing subject tracking, an integrated fill light, and up to 18 hours of battery life, making it a versatile tool for vloggers and filmmakers.
